Thanks and Testimonials

New Forest 10 mile Race October 2022
A new event for us and we were happy to hear that marshals out on the course flagged how helpful RAYNET was in the smooth running of the event.

The Race Director said, “The skills and organisation of the Raynet personnel added an extra level of assurance to the safety arrangements in place. RAYNET overcame the potential obstacles in the difficult New Forest environment with good communication between the marshal points and the event hub. Great interaction with our team and our medical services provider made RAYNET a pleasure to work with.”

A note of thanks from the organiser of the Walk For Parkinson’s in October 2022
I wanted to email and thank you and the team for everything this weekend at our New Forest Walk for Parkinson’s.
We would not have been able to hold the event without you, to ensure the safety of our volunteers and walkers, it is vital we have coverage at all times and we could not have achieved that with just mobile phones. Thank you also for rescuing our 2 marshals who wandered the wrong way back to the start/finish point. They really appreciated the lift back once we had located them with what3words ….
We look forward to working with you next year.

Thanks from The Show Secretary of Romsey Show 2022

I just wanted to write to say a huge thank you to you and your team for helping us with the Showground Control on Saturday.

We really appreciate you all giving up your time to learn about the show and take on the control, I know it is very fast paced and a lot to learn. The control is such an important element of our show and we couldn’t run that section without you all this year.

Thank you once again.

A ‘thank you’ from the New Forest Marathon organisers 2020

“Dear Julian,

We just thought we’d write to say a massive thank you for supporting us through a very interesting 2020 event! The New Forest Marathon is such a special event and deserved a special approach in 2020. As you know the journey wasn’t an easy one, but all the effort was worth it. Please find below a link to the BBC coverage from the day which sums up the event well. We were one of the only events in the UK to run and have received praise from national and local press for carving a covid safe blueprint for future events. As you know we just can’t do this without your support, so we wanted to say thank you again for standing by us and helping protect the future of the event for the community, the runners and all the amazing charities that it supports.
We receive lots of feedback each year from runners and have attached this for you, it serves as a very powerful reminder as to why the event is so important for everyone involved and again another reason why we would like to pass our thanks onto you.
We are excited about 2021 and are looking forward to bringing a really special event to the community! We’d love you to be part of this journey.
Kind regards
Andy and Chris

M27 Road closures

  • Laura Harvey, Stakeholder Manager for Osborne said “My thanks go to all of the Raynet members for their unwavering dedication that has, without doubt aided the success of the three weekend closures of the M27.”
  • Message received from The Senior EPRRO at Southampton City Council which was where the multi-agency cell was located. “I just wanted to extend my personal gratitude for all the work that was undertaken by not just South West Hampshire RAYNET-UK but also from members drawn from many RAYNET-UK groups to provide such a committed, comprehensive and competent role. The timely and accurate information from the various check points, together with the use of live data feed cameras directly into our CCTV control proved to be invaluable and provided ourselves in SCC and the multi-agency partners with the ability to respond to challenges before they really developed and for acute events, our response was in seconds rather than in many minutes. I have requested that RAYNET-UK is formally recognised by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Local Resilience Forum for your collective work for all three M27 closures and furthermore I will also formally request on record, that future projects such as a large scale network closures, must include consideration for using RAYNET-UK.
